How to use this site

This site holds the whole course: the core concepts, the three thematic studies, the HL extension, every assessment guide, the classroom activities and the resource library. Here is the shortest path through it.

If you are a student

1. Read What is Global Politics? once, at the start. It tells you what you are signing up for.
2. Work through the Core in order. The pages are numbered to the syllabus (1.1 → 1.6) and each one ends where the next begins. This is the vocabulary everything else is written in.
3. Take the thematic studies as they are taught. Each study has an exam focus page at the end — do not save it for study leave.
4. Use Assessment early, not late. The Paper 1 walkthrough is more useful in October than in April.
5. Search. Everything on this site is real, searchable text — including 50,000 words of notes that used to be locked inside PDF viewers. If you half-remember a term, search for it.

Every long page has an on this page list on the right. Every page has previous / next links at the bottom, so you can read a whole unit like a book.

If you are a teacher

• Class activities is the part of this site that exists nowhere else: road-tested activities with the time, group size and materials each one needs.
• Every page's resources carry a type, a length and a one-line reason to use it, so you can build a lesson without opening fifteen tabs first.
• Material marked teacher is a label, not a lock. Nothing here is gated.

Everything on this site is Monika's own work, or a link to someone else's with credit. IB guides, specimen papers and assessment criteria are the IB's copyright and are linked to MyIB rather than republished here — the same standard the Essential Agreement asks of you.
