Sources behind this site

The material this site is built from, how it is used, and how it is credited.

This independent educational resource has been developed using available IB Global Politics textbooks, the IB Global Politics guide, material published on the IB website, sources collected and curated by the author since 2016, and relevant online sources.

These materials support the site's explanations, political examples, case studies, classroom activities and assessment guidance. Sources are acknowledged and referenced wherever appropriate.

What is used, and how

Kind of material How this site uses it
The author's own notes, decks and activities Published here in full
Freely public third-party material (news sites, public video channels, NGO and IGO publications) Linked, or embedded using the publisher's own player, with credit
IB-owned material — the subject guide, specimen papers, assessment criteria Linked to the IB's own distribution, never republished. A MyIB login is needed
Commercial publications and textbooks Referenced in the writing; never scanned or reproduced
Student work Shown only with consent, first names only, and removed on request

Independence

This site is independently created and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate or the publishers of the referenced textbooks. International Baccalaureate, IB and associated trademarks belong to the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Where this site and the official subject guide disagree, the guide wins.

Referencing

Students are held to the same standard this site holds itself to. The full guidance — MLA rules, templates for every source type, how to cite AI transparently, and a one-minute check before submission — is on Referencing & academic integrity.
