About this site

glopo.info is an independent, free study site for IB Diploma Programme Global Politics. It publishes the course as it is actually taught: the core concepts, the three thematic studies, the HL extension, every assessment guide, a case library and a decade of classroom material.

Who writes it

Monika Agarwal — teacher of Global Politics and Theory of Knowledge at UWC Dilijan, senior IB examiner, and IBEN Programme/Evaluation Leader and Workshop Leader. The notes, activities and guidance here are her own, written for her classes over a decade and mapped to the subject guide.

What it is for

Three things a student cannot easily get elsewhere:

• The concepts, in order, written so they can be read on a phone rather than downloaded as a PDF nobody opens twice.
• The application — contemporary issues and adaptable case studies, so the concepts do work rather than sit in a glossary.
• The assessment technique — what each paper asks, what strong answers actually do, and where marks are usually lost.

What it is not

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the International Baccalaureate Organization. Where the IB owns material — the subject guide, specimen papers, assessment criteria — this site links to the IB's own distribution and says so, rather than republishing it. Everything here is public and free. There is no login, no paywall and no teacher-only lock.
