Students played jigsaw puzzle after learning the important 6 'jigsaw pieces' to make a correct 'jigsaw of Glopo' :)

Self Contemplation!

After so many prompts (at least for 4 classes) and discussions with the classmates, I gave a chance to the students to talk to 'one-self' and explore relevant points. A short meditation followed this activity. A critical Thinker is not just looking at others' points critically but evaluating one-self too. This activity was part of 'Contested meanings of Development.'

Glopo Gallery Walk

Students presented different case studies from America aligned to American Regional Week. There were 2 criteria: Creativity on the posters and Information.

Passing on the ball

Students wrote the questions on the paper ball and passed it on till the music is on. Once music stops, they make an outline of the question which they get for 15 mins. It continues till they cover at least 3 questions outline.

Question the Question

Ask sub-questions to a question: Exploring different perspectives on the question of a key concept by asking multiple questions.

Wonder Exhibition

connectivity to ToK to some extent. My level of analysis was the MENA region, where students picked up 3 objects connected to one of the GPCs and a particular case study. They wrote the connection between the objects and the case study too in 900 words. As in the pics you can see: Yemen Health crisis: Crutches, Wheelchair, expired medicines, and the warring situation around it. Hydropolitics in Iraq: Water, Dam, and Iraqi flag and costume...

collaborative learning

Collaboration with UWC Thailand by working on the effectiveness of UNO. Students in groups finding the problem and solution on this topic. Outcome would be a presentation from each group.

A guest lecture by Sister Lisa, who spent some time on Israel-Palestine to talk on Human Rights Violation and the work of NGO in protection of Human Rights.

Global Politics at
UWC Mahindra College got a wonderful opportunity to arrange a session with Sandi Arnold to talk about her role as the Chief Mission Support at UNMIK. She spoke on no. of the issues with the students from her varied experience. Her role at United Nations Mission at Kosovo to Humanitarian affairs to Non-proliferation to the role of UNPKF and Peacebuilding in some of the countries.
